Back when Brian Sell was in middle school, he was a Red. That's not some antiquated, Joe McCarthy-style reference to his political leanings, either.

Sell played baseball for the Reds back in his hometown of Woodbury, Pennsylvania.

"I got beaned 20 times in one season. One of them broke a rib," said Sell, wincing in recollection. "We were 0-12 that season."
